Ashe Green Riding, Campsea Ashe is our brand new, purpose built Forever Home of the former established East Suffolk equestrian centre that was Iken Bay Riding.

Ashe Green Riding at Campsea Ashe officially opened January 2025.

We are very proud to be the first Equestrian Business in Suffolk to have been awarded a 5 Star Riding Establishment Rating and have continue to maintain this very high standard as our new premises.

For us at Ashe Green Riding, we strongly believe that accessibility to be around horses and to ride is for all, so we strive to cater for everyone. We have a superb team of horses, ponies and staff who can’t wait to meet you.

So, whether you are 1 or 91 or somewhere in-between, whether you’ve never ridden before or you want to get back in the saddle, our team can make it happen.

We are not your typical riding school, at Ashe Green Riding our lessons are structured on a private basis. This enables our instructors to tailor the lesson to you, so you can progress at your own pace and work towards your own goals. We find that this provides an effective and enjoyable way of learning. However, if you want to share with a friend or a relative, we can also offer a semi-private lesson. Our lessons are held in our floodlit outdoor arena (so please dress according to the weather).

For those that have never ridden before or have not ridden in a while, we highly recommend our walkout option. This is a 30-minute ride around the tracks and woodlands enjoying the beautiful Suffolk Countryside.  Once finished, riders can choose a rosette in a colour of their choice to make the memory extra special. Walkouts are great for all ages and can be a great experience to share with your family or friends. However, you do not need to ride, parents, guardians, grandparents, siblings, and friends are welcome to join on foot to share the experience.

We also offer several activity days. These are;

Young Equestrians Club Activities

for riders aged 5years+ and for all levels of rider. These are typically held on alternative Sundays and during school holidays.

Future Equestrians Club

Future Equestrians is the next step up from our Young Equestrians Club, aimed at those who are able to canter and jump, and who want to develop their skills and knowledge further based on the framework of the BHS curriculum. These are typically held on alternative Sundays and during school holidays.

Our activity sessions combine riding and classroom learning, to develop riders’ knowledge and experience around horses. Sessions are split into small groups (up-to 6 riders per group) who are of similar ability. We have our designated ‘Classroom’ which provides an undercover learning facility.

For those that own their own horse, we offer a variety of livery packages that can be tailored to suit.
